Lincoln Street Reconstruction Project

Bondurant, Iowa, June 3, 2019

Update of progress on Lincoln St. Reconstruction

With all the recent rains that we have experienced this has delayed the project quite a bit. The contractor will be working through the rains and on weekends to attempted to get back on schedule.

Pipework has been completed up to approximately 150 feet shy of the intersection at 10th St.

The contractor expects to be at 10th St. sometime later this week (Wednesday or Thursday) weather permitting.

The remainder of the pavement removal is expected to start later this week. (weather permitting)

Water Main replacement at the intersection of 10th Ct and Lincoln will take place after pavement removal. Expected to be Wednesday or Thursday. (updates to follow on this).

Mid-American Energy will soon be starting to install a new 4-inch gas main along the West side of Lincoln St. from 10th St. to the waterway. Residents along the even side of Lincoln St. will be connected to this new gas main.

We will continue to work diligently with the contractor to move this project along and get the pavement back as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone for their patience. As always if there are any questions please contact the city directly.
