For Residents Using Utility Bill Payment Processing Through Your Bank
By: City of Bondurant
Date Published: Wednesday, November 23, 2016
It may take 10 days or more for the City to receive your payment.
For example, if you paid online with the payment date of the 15th (Bondurant's due date), we may not get the check until the 25th or later, resulting in a late fee and possible disconnect.
You may see the payment post to your checking account, but the check has yet to be processed, mailed to the City from the processing center and actually applied to the utility account.
The payment does not post to the City's bank account automatically from your bank.
Also, remember to send payments to the correct address: City of Bondurant, PO Box 37, Bondurant, IA 50035.
Make certain that payment date on your personal bank payment is at least 10 days prior to the 15th of the month to avoid any late fees. Keep a good eye on your invoices to make sure your bank payment isn't late or check for late fees.
Another option is to sign up for Automatic Payment through us - guaranteed no late fee or disconnect, as long as funds are in your checking account and checking account is active. Fill out an Automatic Payment Application and provide a voided copy of a check.
